REVIEW GUIDELINES

Your experience can improve someone else’s next visit.

Be honest, specific and respectful. A useful review explains how sound affected your time at a place.

What other visitors want to know

When and where?

Include the date, time and where you sat or stood: near the bar, at the back or in a separate room.

What brought you there?

Dinner, a meeting, a wedding or a concert? Explain whether the sound suited the occasion.

What did you hear?

Describe conversation, music, background noise and reverberation in your own words. No sound meter needed.

What a helpful review looks like

These fictional examples show useful descriptions. They are not reviews of real places.

Restaurant · Friday, 6-8 pm

“We sat by the window. Conversation was easy at first, but we had to raise our voices as the room filled up. Other tables were more noticeable than the music.”

Function venue · Saturday, 2-6 pm

“We could talk comfortably during dinner. Speeches were harder to follow at the back, where the sound seemed to linger.”

Workplace · Tuesday, 9 am-noon

“The small room was good for focused work. In the shared area I could clearly hear other people’s video calls.”

What is not allowed

Invented visits, paid reviews, advertising, threats, personal attacks and other people’s private information do not belong here. Do not review your own place or use multiple accounts to influence a score.

You can be direct about a bad experience.

Critical reviews are welcome. Stick to what you experienced yourself. A business disagreeing with your review does not make it invalid.

If a review breaks the rules

Use the report function and explain the issue. We can investigate and remove reviews that break the rules. Contact us if you would like a moderation decision reconsidered.
